Guyana Motor Racing & Sports Club Drag meet of September 16th 2007 held on the South Dakota Circuit.

Pierre Singh in his Toyota Levin won Class A (cars 1600cc and under)
Shailendra Mahabir won Class B by a walkover after the rest of his field failed to show
Joseph Chin driving his Honda Civic won Class C (Cars over 1800cc)
Ranvir Gajraj driving his Evo7 won Class D (Open class)

This drag meet was subscribed mostly by 4AGE powered cars, it seems that almost every fast car in Guyana now has a 4AGE 20 valve engine bolted under the hood. After a number of free runs, it came down to the sudden death rounds. Pierre Singh debuted his new Toyota Levin and walked away with the Class A victory.

Joseph Chin in his very quick Civic nailed the competition down to walk away with the Class C top prize.

Ranvir Gajraj who was beaten earlier in the free rounds by a Turbo charged 4AGE powered BMW driven by Gavin Gayadin got the checkered flag when he needed it most in the final round to walk away with the Class D outright victory.

The presentation of the drag trophies will be done on November together with the presentation for November 4th International Meet.

It was nothing short of amazing to see the kind of power that Gavin Gayadin's turbo charged Toyota 4AGE powered BMW was putting out. This amazing car picked up 2 wins over 2 very fast Evos. Because of the raw power of Gayadin's car, he would be left on the line as the Evos went flying down the drag strip, then suddenly the BMW would find traction and would reel in back those Evos as if they were parked. The crowd simply loved this car as it provided loads of excitement every time it came out to run. It easily blew away the cars in the other classes. Some of you will remember this car when it was being developed by Jeremy Pompey.
