South Dakota Circuit came alive as the one armed wonder boy, Kemal Rahaman, outpaced the competition to become the GP2B Champion driver. His two hard fought victories received standing ovations from race fans. Kemal's victory is more outstanding when you realise that he actually drives without the use of his right wrist having lost it in an accident when he was a child. Congrats to Kemal from the entire motor racing fraternity and race fans in Guyana and beyond.

Ryan Rahaman won the first GP2B event quite easily but was unable to overcome the Mazda of Kemal Rahaman who drove spectacularly to say the least. Jeremy Pompey was flying in his turbo charged 4AGE fitted BMW, the straight line speed of this car was breathtaking, if he can get his handling sorted out, he will be a winner with this machine. Ryan Rahaman told me that Pompey walked away from him down front straight and we all know that Ryan is very quick.

Mark Vieira with 2 victories and one second place recaptured his GP3 championship crown that was being kept by Andrew King after the last International meet of October 29th 2006. Andrew King won the first race with Vieira in second place. Vieira came back in race #2 to snatch a victory over King leveling the score 1-1. The much anticipated 3rd clash did not materialise as King was forced to pull his Mazda out of the event with the gear-stick torn from it's socket. Ironically it was King who sent to Georgetown for a set of gearbox selector forks for Vieira's Mazda which had broken in the first event.

Andrew King won the handicap race with an almost photo finish with Kemal Rahaman, all of the cars were on the same straight when the 12 laps expired making this one of the best calculated handicap event in recent history. Andrew King had a good day as his tube framed Mazda showed awesome potential, this car will be unstoppable in the very near future.

Chet Singh won the first GP2A events. Shyraz Roshandin won the second GP2A race, Peter Morgan won the third. A huge pileup of cars in the first corner of race #2 forced a restart but it was all war after that. GP2A is definitely one hot class with the return of Peter Morgan in his Ford Escort.

As we predicted, Syed Hassan outran the competition in the Rookie division with 2 victories. Pierre Singh won the first of the Rookie clashes with his "Rusty Bucket to Street Rocket Corolla" but was later disqualified due to rule infringements. Three other Rookie drivers also failed the final scrutineer's test and lost their podium positions.

The Jeffery clan chalked up victories in the Go-kart shifter events with Christian winning 2 races and younger cousin, Stefan, snatching a victory in this super competitive division. Veteran Stanley Ming picked up one second place and a third place position.

Steven Vieira made it three in a row in the big bike events, Gregory Lopes picked up three second place finishes. Carlos Rodrigues outran Ginger Ranjattan to pick up a third place position in the first motorcycle event. Ginger capitalized on a fall suffered by Rodrigues and got the nod for third place in the second event but failed to better Rodrigues in the final motorcycle race.
