The
big guns of Caribbean Motor Racing are set to face off against each
other in what is expected to be the Biggest International Clash ever
witnessed at the South Dakota Circuit in Guyana. Teams from Jamaica,
Trinidad & Tobago, Barbados, Suriname, the USA, Canada and host country
Guyana have already stated that they will be here in Guyana come
November 4th 2007.
2007
has so far been a great year for Caribbean Motor Racing as teams from
Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago, Suriname and Guyana ventured out of
their homelands to participate in some of the biggest racing events ever
in the Caribbean region in a bid to enhance the greatest sport tourism
product that the Caribbean has to offer, motor racing.
The
final Caribbean motor racing showdown for 2007 will explode at a
location commonly referred to as the Mecca of Caribbean Motor Racing,
the South Dakota Circuit in Guyana. On November 4th 2007, teams from
Jamaica, Barbados, Trinidad & Tobago, Suriname, the USA and Canada will
literally invade the South Dakota Circuit to take on the very best that
host country Guyana has to offer. Some one hundred and twenty combatants
are expected to take take part in this history making event. Even more
names will be added to the list below as we head closer to D-Day.
We
have a spy shot of that wild 650 BHP Subaru Impreza that is coming for
the November 4th International Race of Champions. This wild beat will be
driven in GP3-4 by no other than the President of GMR&SC Vishok Persaud
and it's expected to shatter the current lap record of South Dakota. At
650 break, this car can very well create a new lap record indeed. Did someone
say Warrrrrrrrr! You can bet your sweet Bazooka it's going to be warrrrrrrrrr!!!
War at South Dakota.
|
We have nineteen (19)
enlisted warriors so far for Group 3, with just four of them
representing the homeland, you can understand why we are calling it the
invasion of South Dakota. Mark Vieira, Andrew King, Andrew Morgan and
Vishok Persaud will be on the frontline in their desperate bid to defend
Guyana, they have their work cut out for them to say the least.
They will have to
fight off the awesome four member Jamaican team
which includes two times Caribbean Champion
David Summerbell, Peter Rae, Doug "Hollywood"
Gore and Gary Williams.
Then there is the
matter of the Trinidadian posse stating quite
boldly that they are coming to take possession
of South Dakota as well, their team includes
Ravi Singh in his Turbo Charged Mazda RX7, Ruddy
Beekee in his Mazda RX7 and team captain Gerard
Carrington with his super quick AWD Turbo
Charged Mitsubishi Mivec.
Strangely enough
Canada which is normally a very peaceful country
has also signaled that they too will be laying
an assault on the South Dakota Circuit and will
be sending in their contingent of warriors as
well, Patrick Tong has already commandeered
Andrew King's Mazda RX3 which he will use
to back up teammate Shawn King in his tube
framed Mazda RX7. Sanjay Sewsankar is also part
of Team Canada and will be doing battle with his
Mazda RX7.
Team Barbados will
comprise of Doug Malloney, Steven King, Shawn
Boxhill and Kenrick Husbands. Doug Malloney
races an AWD Audi Quattro while Steven King will
be driving a very fast and powerful Nissan
Skyline. Malloney and King will be taking part
in the prestigious GP3 division, while Shawn
Boxhill and Kenrick Husbands will be competing
in the hot and furious Group 2A division.
Suriname will be
part of this extraordinary battle with
Oliver Tjin-Liep-Shie already declaring that he is not
planning on taking prisoners with his Mitsubishi
Evo1 which is powered by a Turbo Charged Evo 6
power plant.
Ryan Gonsalves of
St Vincent and the Grenadines will be competing
in Guyana for the very first time in the Beck
Gonsalves tube frame Mazda RX7, this car
presently holds the lap record for the
Wallerfield Raceway in Trinidad. This extremely
beautiful tube frame car is nothing short of
amazing to look at, a lot of money was spent on
putting this car together and it shows. This
cars has a Transaxle setup meaning that the
gearbox and the back axle are one unit. Look out
for this monster come November 4th.
It is going to be
nothing short of an atomic explosion when these
eighteen monster cars all packing in excess of
three hundred break horsepower under their
individual hoods take to the start line to
decide who is the best of the best come November
4th at the South Dakota Circuit. This is going
to be
Warrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!
